On his daughter’s birthday, Das chooses not to return home. Instead, he visits Yakob—an elderly man slowly losing his memory. Introducing himself as Yakob’s long-lost son, Yusuf, Das spends the day with him, carefully nurturing conversations and reliving borrowed memories.
